Anderson Marine news:
Anderson Marine at Nor-Fishing 2010
Anderson Marine attended its first Nor-Fishing exhibition in Trondheim sharing a stand with its sister company Fresh Catch. The show takes place every two years at the Trondheim Spektrum Centre and is one of the largest exhibitions of its type in northern Europe.
The company has had a lot of interest from Norway for its vessels particularly the larger Cygnus boats and hopes to develop further relationships and business in Norway for its full range of boat-building services. Chris Anderson commented “we have been aware for some time of good interest coming out of Norway for our vessels and this exhibition gives us an opportunity to assess the market first hand”

New Cygnus SF36 For Norway - Vessel SF3601
The company is progressing well on its first export order to Norway with the construction of a new Cygnus SF36 for Arnt Inge Nygard from Midsund in Norway.
Arnt Inge visited the Anderson Marine stand at the recent Fishing Show in Glasgow and after extensive meetings at the show and afterwards commissioned the new vessel an SF36 created from a Cygnus standard SF38 hull.
The new vessel is in a distinctive red colour and is due for delivery within the next few weeks when Arnt will take it to Norway for final fitting-out.

New Boat Shed Extension Is Now Open
Anderson Marine is delighted to announce the opening of the new extended boat-shed facility in Peterhead. This is a major investment for the company that will hopefully see a greater throughput of boats in production.
Chris Anderson commented “our commitment to investing for the future can be seen in this new facility where we will be able to put more vessels in to production and have an excellent working environment for our staff”
The first vessels in to production include the new Cygnus GM33 for John Burnett of Wick and the Cygnus SF36 for Arnt Inge Nygard in Norway (details of both commissions are featured on this page).

New Cygnus GM33 Commissioned
Anderson Marine are pleased to announce that John Burnett of Wick has commisioned a new Cygnus GM33 that will be an 80% fit out when completed. This new vessel will begin manufacture in the next few days.
Chris Anderson said “we are pleased to announce this new commission and work will commence on this GM33 for John immediately".

The Norah Nancy
Congratulations from everyone at Anderson Marine to Pat & Ann O’Donnell, owners of Broadhaven Charters in Ireland who have just launched their new vessel the “Norah Nancy” which will be based at Ballyglass in Co Mayo.
The Kingfisher K26 hull and wheelhouse was built by Anderson Marine and sent to Ryan & Roberts in Askeaton for its fit-out.

Fishing 2010
Fishing 2010 got underway at the SECC Glasgow on Thursday 20th of May and the star attraction at the event was the recently completed Kingfisher K20.
The vessel has been built for use by the company and made its debut in Glasgow having just been completed at the boatshed in Peterhead.
When Fishing 2010 is over, the K20 will return to Peterhead for it's sea trials and then will be used by the company as a demonstration vessel for potential customers.

New Innovations in the 28’ to 30’ Hull sizes
Anderson Marine may be a relatively new boat building company in the UK but is reputation as the most innovative is set to be enhanced by its decision in early October to start work on a range of Cygnus hulls in the 28’ to 30’ range.
Please watch this space for future announcements of these new designs being made available.
